Tereza Bernardová sean nós

This 5-week mini training course is suitable for both beginners and improvers who already have some prior experience with sean nós dancing. It offers a unique opportunity for intensive dance training, where you'll kickstart the process of developing your own style.

You'll gain practical tips, inspiration, and tools to help you grow as a sean nós dancer, and discover new ways to connect rhythm, creativity, and music in your movement.

You'll also have the chance to connect with fellow dancers in the course through a private discussion group.

Explore

Explore

We will explore what can be created from the basics – how a limited number of steps can help us discover our own dance style. We'll focus on what we truly need to create, improvise, and dance with ease.

Grow

Develop

Through various exercises, we will explore different rhythms, movement dynamics, and ways to structure step combinations to make the dance feel natural while keeping it rhythmically engaging.

Style

Own style

We’ll discover which combinations feel best to dance, what we enjoy the most, and how to continue developing our own style.

Why this course?

Maybe you’ve already attended a few sean nós dance workshops. You know how powerful they can be — a real spark of inspiration, a push out of your comfort zone, a glimpse into new possibilities. You leave motivated and full of ideas.

But you also know how quickly that spark can fade.
And how hard it is to keep practising regularly — especially when you’re on your own or don’t have access to regular classes.

That’s where the long-term journey begins.
✨ The one where true growth happens.
✨ Where your skills deepen and your personal style starts to shine.
✨ Where you build more clarity, confidence, and joy in your dancing.

We understand that not everyone has access to ongoing classes and that trying to develop your dancing alone can feel overwhelming and isolating.
That’s why we’ve created the 5-week online course: Dive into Sean nós dancing, designed for dancers who already have some experience and are ready to go deeper.

What you’ll get:
✅ Guided sessions to help you build a stronger foundation
✅ Space to grow your own voice and improvisation
✅ A private group to share progress, ask questions, and stay inspired
✅ A supportive, fun learning environment
✅ And of course — lots of dancing and joy

Dancing is a journey. You don’t have to take it alone. Come dance with us, it’s always easier (and more fun) together.

My Irish dance journey

When I first encountered Irish dance in my late teens, I had no idea it would become my lifelong passion. More than 25 years later, this journey has taken me further than I ever imagined—I’ve lived and studied in England and Ireland, earned my dance teaching certification (T.C.R.G.) with the Irish Dancing Commission (C.L.R.G.), and completed a Master’s degree at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick (Master of Arts in Dance – Traditional Irish Dance Performance).

I explore various styles of Irish dance, from social to solo dancing. However, sean-nós dancing captured my heart with its natural flow, rhythm, and freedom of expression. I’ve been lucky to learn from incredible dancers and teachers such as Mick Mulkerins, Mairéad Casey, Gerard Butler, Emma O'Sullivan, and many others. I have performed sean-nós dancing in shows like Rhythm of the Dance, Ragús the Show, and Pulses of Tradition and collaborated with musicians at organized music sessions, festivals, and other events in the Czech Republic and abroad. You could see me on TG4 (Irish national TV). I placed second at the All Ireland Fleadh (2010) and also became second in the 3.series of A Jig Gig TV competition.

Sean-nós dancing isn’t as widely known in continental Europe as competitive Irish dance, but it has a unique charm—and in Ireland, more and more people are embracing it. I regularly teach sean-nós dancing at my dance school, helping dancers not only master the steps but also discover their own style, confidence, and, most importantly, the joy of this dance.
